About us: The Pankhurst Trust (Incorporating Manchester Women’s Aid) is a women-led organisation whose vision is to ensure that people, suffering, or at risk of domestic abuse receive appropriate support. We offer support by providing safe accommodation, specialist support services and by working in partnership with other agencies. In addition to our domestic abuse services, we deliver a range of services from our base at the Pankhurst Centre including a women’s drop-in.

Our domestic abuse services are accredited by the Women’s Aid National Quality Standards (Stage 1) and our IDVA and Outreach services recently secured SaveLives Leading Lights Status.

About the role: The organisation seeks to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic play worker who will deliver play sessions to children over 5 years within our refuge, outreach and resettlement services. The role requires a Level 3 qualification in play work or equivalent. The applicant must have a sound understanding of the Play Work Principles and a commitment to a child’s right to play.

Duration: Fixed term until 31st March 2020 (possible extension subject to funding)
Hours: 16 hours per week with the possibility of additional hours
Salary: £9.00 per hour
