Role : CONNECT Community Connector Volunteer

Reports to: CONNECT Worker
Hours:
Flexible role – to be discussed with Volunteers Coordinator
Minimum commitment, 1 hour weekly for 2 months
Location: Home-Based
Aims of Role:
Contacting socially isolated Manchester Women’s Aid clients to chat and offer a listening ear
Role is fully compliant with data protection law
Training:
Pankhurst Trust General and Safeguarding Induction 
Domestic Violence and Abuse training - available quarterly
Key Tasks:

  • Offering support, friendship and practical help
  • Helping socially isolated women stay connected
  • Liaising with the First 100 Days team about any progress or issues with clients

Qualities / Skills:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • A friendly, approachable, enthusiastic and sensitive manner.
