What is Big Manchester?
A multi-agency partnership between Manchester Women's Aid, Barnardo's, HomeStart, Manchester Mind and CLJ, Big Manchester focuses on ways of supporting the whole family, rather than individuals. It benefits from the knowledge and experience of the partner charities in being able to provide an innovative child-focussed service to families in North Manchester addressing the impact of domestic abuse, parental mental ill health and/or substance misuse on children. This is achieved by enhancing the parents/carers understanding of the impact these issues have on children.
