Remember you are not alone - domestic abuse can happen to anyone no matter your age, race, class, culture, disability, gender, sexuality or lifestyle.

BActive Manchester (BAM) supports families affected by domestic abuse, substance misuse and/or mental ill health to become more physically active.

We offer lots of different activities including park walks, scavenger hunts and online sessions like yoga, Zumba and games. BAM activities are for the whole family, so little ones and parents can join in too! We know that being active is good for our physical health, but did you know it can also improve wellbeing, strengthen family relationships and help you become part of your community.

You decide which sessions you want to come to and there’s no pressure to attend. Our trained workers can support you by making activity planners just for you and your family to do, plus there are rewards up for grabs too!

If you live in Manchester, have at least one child aged 5 – 15 and would like to find out more, please email us at BActiveManchesterTeam@barnardos.org.uk. If you have an existing worker at Manchester Women’s Aid or elsewhere, they can also make a referral to BAM on your behalf, just ask them to contact us.
